In 1998 when we first started to offer digital acquisition, only the most brave and innovative customers would sign a contract for digital camera acquisition and processing. The use of digital cameras today is becoming more and more common, and the technology has proved itself to be mature and stable, resulting in clear advantages for our customers. Since 1998 orthoimage mosaics in colour and colour infrared have been produced for major cities like Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Strassbourg, Essen, Berlin and Pau. Colour and colour infrared mosaics and an elevation model have also been produced for the entire river Elbe after the flood of 2002 and in 2006, with data delivered fast and at reasonable costs. The data was acquired with ZI DMC, ADS40, Ultracam and Rollei cameras using direct georeferencing and, in some cases, integrated with our airborne laser scanner. Resolutions and accuracies varied from 7.5 - 30 cm.
With our in-house developed software, we make optimal usage of the advantages of direct georeferencing to produce the image products. We can process data from digital cameras such as Rollei, Ultracam, ZI DMC and ADS40.
